Bronzer Faves

Now that the sun is coming out in Utah and melting the snow, I’m doing all I can to look like I didn’t just wake up from a six month hibernation! My favorite way to bring color to your face? Bronzer! I love doing  a little swipe of bronzer on my forehead and hollows of my cheeks to liven up my pale, wintery face. I’ve got two tried and true bronzers to share with you that you’re going to love.

The first bronzer I’m going to share is one that I’ve just recently started using. It’s the Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer. This bronzer comes butter bronzerin two shades: Light Bronzer and Bronzer. I opted for the Bronzer shade, which is slightly deeper. This bronzer is about $15 at Ulta and Target which isn’t bad, and it’s also great that you can just pick it up at Target! I was expecting this bronzer to be a cream fromula due to the “butter” part, but it’s actually a powder! This formula is very blendable and goes on with ease! I really like it! There isn’t any visible shimmer in this bronzer once it’s applied to the skin, and it doesn’t make you look orange. I like to use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply this right under my cheek bones and to my temples/forehead! This bronzer does have a very strong fake suntan lotion/pina colada smell that I don’t particularly love, but that is just my personal opinion! But, I highly recommend this if you are looking for a pigmented and natural looking bronzer you can buy at the drug store! Physicians Formula also makes a few blushes included in this line that I really want to give a try!

Next is my tried and true, holy grail bronzer: The Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer. I love everything about this bronzer. I’ve repurchased it twice and still live it just the same as I did the first time I used it! This bronzer comes in three shades, so you’ll be able to find one that’s just right for your skin tone: Milk Chocolate (Lightest shade), Chocolate (original shade), and Dark Chocolate (Deepest shade). I wear the Original chocolate shade! This bronzer is matte, and has no visible glitter which I love. This bronzer is $30 and can be purchased at Ulta and Sephora. So it definitely70109_00.jpg is a higher end bronzer but I feel like it is totally worth it! This bronzer smells like chocolate! And looks so natural when applied right under the cheek bones. I’ve never had a problem with looking orange or muddy. I often hear others comparing this to Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer, But I don’t feel that they are similar really at all. I have tried Hoola and don’t love it. It pulls much too warm on my skin and is too shimmery. That’s what I love about the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer! It’s matter, and looks super natural! I also really like to use this in the crease of my eyelids as a transition color sometimes too. I love this bronzer and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good bronzer!

Thanks for reading babes! Let me know your favorite bronzer!

Hey there! I'm Abby. I'm just a blonde girl, with a blog, from a small town. I LOVE fashion and beauty and getting ready. And I am a firm believer in using clothing and makeup to highlight your best features, not mask them. I grew up dancing at a studio and on a team, and now I can't stop! (Thanks Mom). I love getting ready in the mornings and I love dressing to make myself feel good. It gives a certain sense of confidence that I love. I've started this blog with the intentions of sharing all my favorite things style and beauty with the hopes you'll love them too. I also want this blog to help other girls find what gives them confidence. Because there is nothing better than seeing a woman who KNOWS she looks good. Thanks for giving Girl With The Golden Locks a read! xoxo, abby
