Hey Everyone! I cannot believe it’s almost July!! Where has June gone?! I hope everybody’s summer is going great! I know mine has been. During the summer I have a lot more time to mess around with makeup, and I also have time to work which means I have $$$ to buy/try new products! I have the freedom to discover a whole bunch of new things! Here are a few things I’ve been loving:
Lush Celebrate Body Lotion – $32.95
This is my favorite lotion! It’s so thick and moisturizing. Here in Utah it gets SUPER dry in the summers and my skin definitely shows it! I love to apply this hand and body lotion right after the shower! But, besides the amazing moisture it provides, the smell is AAAAAMAZING!!! It’s very citrusy and fruity, but also kind of spicy! So yummy! The down side to this bomb lotion is that it’s a seasonal product and it’s usually only available during Christmas. I really like to stock up when it’s available so I can use it throughout the year! I know the price seems high, but it will last FOREVER!
NARS Orgasm Illuminator – $30
I love to use this illuminator on my “no makeup” makeup days. I especially love it in the summer. This one is in NARS’s signature shade, Orgasm. They make virtually all their products in this shade! I have their blush in this color as well, and it’s just as good. I obviously tend to be more tan in the summer, so many of the products I use throughout the rest of the year won’t work for me anymore. This illuminator pulls very bronze on me and gives the perfect golden shimmer to my cheeks! It really emphasizes my natural tan, which I love. It gives a very “lit from within” kind of look! Also, this is a liquid highlighter, but it does dry down really nicely and doesn’t smear your foundation! This product comes in five shades so you’ll be able to find the perfect one for yourself. I had the “travel size” but the full size is $30 on the NARS website.
I’ve been fond of ColourPop’s lipstick for a long time now. The matte lipsticks have great staying power, and look very sophisticated. Plus, at 6 bucks how could you not want every color?! Viper is described as a “true dusty rose” on their website. It dries down much darker than it looks in the tube, and I kind of love it! It also pulls very purple on me, which is a lot different than lipsticks I would normally choose and I like it! Like I said, I’ve been hooked on the ultra matte lips, but I’ve recently discovered ColourPop’s ultra satin lipsticks… GAME CHANGER. They might be my new favorites. Maybe you’ll read more about it in my July Favorites 😉
Lorac Pro 3 Palette – $44
I totally saved the best for last this time…. I know I’m a bit late to hop on ht bandwagon on this one, but I’m dying over the Lorac Pro 3 Palette. I love it. I want them all. I will definitely be purchasing the 2 previous palettes in the near future! The warm toned palette comes with 16 different shades: 8 Matte, 8 Shimmer. I was a dye hard Naked Palette lover for a long time…. But I’ve been converted. The eyeshadows in this palette are so buttery and they blend so well. I do have to mention that there is a bit it of fall out, but it doesn’t phase me one bit! So many looks can be created with these shades. It’s very easy to make a simple, everyday eye look, but it’s also easy to transition into bold, night looks! My favorite shades include: Clay (matte), Lt. Pewter (shimmer), Amethyst (shimmer) and Terra Cotta (matte). I love shimmery lids, and Lt. Pewter just does it for me! So pretty! This palette is $44 for 16 shades! (As opposes to 12 shades for $54… 😉 ) Okay babe, go grab this palette now. You won’t regret it. I love it. And so will you!
Thanks for taking a look at all the things I couldn’t put down through the month of June! Let me know what things you’ve been loving! I would love to try all of your favorites!

Hey there! I'm Abby. I'm just a blonde girl, with a blog, from a small town. I LOVE fashion and beauty and getting ready. And I am a firm believer in using clothing and makeup to highlight your best features, not mask them. I grew up dancing at a studio and on a team, and now I can't stop! (Thanks Mom). I love getting ready in the mornings and I love dressing to make myself feel good. It gives a certain sense of confidence that I love. I've started this blog with the intentions of sharing all my favorite things style and beauty with the hopes you'll love them too. I also want this blog to help other girls find what gives them confidence. Because there is nothing better than seeing a woman who KNOWS she looks good. Thanks for giving Girl With The Golden Locks a read! xoxo, abby
